Emily Woods, DVM

Emily is a graduate from Tufts University’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine with a strong interest in equine and sports medicine, which stems from her background as a competitive dressage rider.

She brings hands-on experience from shadowing former Fairfield intern Dr. Christy Cullen in the field, and has spent the past two summers working closely with Dr. Kirsten Bubeck at Tufts, gaining valuable exposure to lameness evaluations and advanced diagnostic approaches.

Dr. Woods also served as part of the Large Animal Technician team at Tufts. She trains in dressage and has brought one horse from training level to Grand Prix and another from third level to Prix St. George.

Her long-term goal is to establish a career as an equine general practitioner, with possible interest in small ruminants as well.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Emily enjoys riding her two horses, weightlifting, and skiing.
