New Jersey native Kaitie earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Atlantic Veterinary College after completing a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at Fordham University, with minors in Anthropology and Environmental Sciences.
Kaitie’s passion for horses began early through competing in the jumper circuit. Following her graduation from Fordham, she worked as a veterinary technician in the Standardbred racing industry, further strengthening her interest in equine medicine.
During her time at AVC, Kaitie was an active executive member of the AAEP student chapter, SAVMA, and her class committee. She continued to expand her interests in equine sports medicine and surgery throughout veterinary school. Upon graduation, Kaitie was recognized for her love of equine medicine and received the Zoetis Award for Excellence in Equine Practice and the American College of Veterinary Surgeons Award in Large Animal Surgery. Her long-term goal is to establish a career in equine medicine with a specialized interest in equine surgery.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Kaitie enjoys riding her retired jumper, hiking, and is excited to explore all that Connecticut has to offer.
